Making objects is my search for meaning and assimilating life’s experiences. Often the search is non-linear, somewhat mysterious. Always the search is an exciting exploration of formal qualities, materials, processes and organic forms. These explorations invariably stimulate new inquires, discoveries and opportunities to work with challenging materials and processes. Object making is indulgent; it affords the pleasure of making textures, shapes, forms and compositions. Object making is rigorous; it demands constant assessments and frequent rejection or abandonment to find a more perfect solution. Object making is sensuous. It provides tools and materials which are diverse, tactile, and pleasing to use. Object making is needy; it looks for affirmation and influence. Object making is risky; it lays bare thoughts and feelings. Object making is fulfilling; it triggers feelings into tangible visible objects.
Encourage you to continue my journey as I continue to add new works to my website.
Thank you
